If you’ve been watching the API mailing list over the last few weeks (and if not, why not?!) you’ll have seen us announce the availability of the second version of our API.
We’ve just pushed the new Overview screen out to beta testers. It’ the single biggest change in the new FreeAgent UI, so we are really excited to give you a preview of what’s coming soon.

The FreeAgent code base hails back to 2006, when we were running with Rails 1.0 and Ruby 1.8.6.
Since that time Ruby and Rails have undergone several transformations.
We’ve address a potential security issue relating to ‘session hijacking’ attacks.
We write a lot on this blog about our product and our company, as well as providing what we hope are useful accounting tips in plain English for small businesses, but we haven’t written much about the technical side of FreeAgent.
