Creating your own custom invoices

Posted on 14 March 2008 by Comments (0)

One of the most requested features we've had of late is the ability to customise invoice templates. This has always been on our radar, but it's a pretty busy radar at the minute and new features don't always get implemented as quickly as we'd like. Still, after a recent discussion over on Satisfaction we decided it was high time that we did something about it.

Download the Invoice Devkit

We made a small announcement on Satisfaction as part of that discussion, but this is worth "bigging up" on the Central too. We've now released an Invoice Devkit, which is basically a tool for users to experiment with their own bespoke invoice templates. You'll need to know your HTML and CSS to use it, which lots of our users do, and it'll allow you to create a completely unique look for your invoices.

Tranquility Invoice template

This feature is currently still in beta so you need to email support@freeagent.com to have it activated for your account. Once that's done you can add you add your own CSS directly into FreeAgent and start using the template for your invoicing.

You can find more information in our knowledge base article about creating CSS invoice templates.

If you're interested in creating your own invoice template, download the Invoice Devkit, which contains sample HTML and CSS files to get you started. As a token of our appreciation, any invoice templates accepted into the public gallery will earn the designer a 2-month free subscription accredited to their FreeAgent account. You can't say fairer then that!

We can't wait to see what you will come up with.

Over to you...
