Last week, we talked about how to make your business more efficient, so this week we’re carrying the efficiency theme through to an area you might not have considered - the brain. Here’s some of our favourite mind hacks to help you work more efficiently.
Find the peak time for everything
If you want to be more productive, you may need to start listening to your body clock. Scientists believe that your body’s natural rhythm creates specific times of the day that are best suited for solving problems and performing complex tasks - so you’ll maximise your efficiency if you work during these hours.

Researchers have found that video games can help make your brain work faster, improve your multitasking ability, shorten your reaction time and improve your cognitive skills. Keep that in mind the next time you feel guilty for playing Angry Birds instead of working.

Why does Barack Obama only wear grey or blue suits? He has set a routine that rations decision-making for the important things, rather than making decisions about what he eats or wears. So instead of wasting your mental energy on breakfast choices or shirt styles, could you follow the President’s lead and set a daily routine for these issues - and free your mind for other tasks?
