FreeAgent Update - Release Dolcelatte

Posted on 03 September 2007 by Comments (3)

With just two weeks to go before our official launch we've been hard at work on the internals of FreeAgent, but we have found the time to make a small change to our vehicle mileage support.

Support for different vehicle types

FreeAgent now supports two new vehicle types for mileage allowances: Motorcycles and Bicycles. So those of you using a motorbike or bicycle for work (unfortunately HMRC do not consider journeys to and from work to be eligible) can now claim 20p/mile for bicycles and 24p/mile for motorbikes free of income tax and National Insurance contributions.

Over to you...

Fantastic! Thanks Olly!

That's good news. One thing I really like about FA, is that you introduce new features and can continue to do so as a result of feedback. Whereas my current accountant has changed their processes, erm, never.

On the subject of accountants, are you able to say when you will be announcing partnerships with accountancy firms? I'm so close to jumping ship from my current accountant, but would like to know where would be a good FA-friendly place to jump to.

Funny you should mention that Andrew.

See our next Central post for some more information on partnerships.
