Once you've recorded some time in FreeAgent, you might want to produce a timesheet report, perhaps to give to your manager or to compare with your client's time records.
Here's how to produce the reports.
From the Work menu, choose Time Tracking, then click the Reporting tab.

You can then choose what content to include on your report.
Choose which weeks or months you want to report on time spent for, from the top drop-down menu. Or choose Custom from this list, to pick your own dates.

You can choose whether to report all your time, just billable time, or just unbillable time. Choose from the list.

You can either choose to include time spent on all contacts, or just one particular customer. Choose from the third drop-down menu.

The fourth drop-down menu lets you filter the content for your report by project. If you've already filtered by contacts then you can only choose to see projects you've undertaken for that contact.

If you've filtered the content by project then you can also break it down by tasks on that project.

And finally, you can choose whether to show time spent on these filtered items by everyone or just by one particular user.

You'd pick different settings depending on why you're producing this report. For example, a report for your manager would probably include all time, contacts, projects and tasks, but just the one user, yourself. So the settings would look something like this.

But if you were producing a report to give your customer, showing how much time your business has spent on a particular project, you'd choose billable time only, just that one customer and just that one project, but all users. So the settings would look something like this.

Once you've chosen the settings you want, click Generate Report.
FreeAgent produces the report which you can then save as a pdf and print out for signing, or have electronically signed using a package such as Adobe Acrobat. And you can quickly generate a new report by clicking the Generate New Report button.
And, if you want to save the report to the Files area so that you can e-mail it to your client with the invoice, click the Save to Files Area button.
