You can use Staffology as an automated solution that takes the manual processing out of payroll for your small business, a payroll software you can white label as an accountant or payroll powered by an API so you can fully integrate it with your HR, employee or other systems.

Benefits of integrating Staffology

The Staffology integration connects to FreeAgent to automate the creation of payroll journals for every pay run.

Save time by syncing payroll data and eliminate errors from manual tasks.

How Staffology works with FreeAgent

As soon as you finalise a payrun, we’ll connect to your FreeAgent account and create a journal entry.

You can verify that the journal has been posted by going to Reports > Payruns > Journal Entry.

There is also a link directly to the journal in FreeAgent.

How do I get started with Staffology?

  1. Create a Staffology account which is free to use until you want to submit a real FPS to HMRC.
  2. Select the employer name in the main menu and go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Connected Services’.
  3. Go to the ‘Accounting’ tab and select the appropriate logo for FreeAgent.
  4. Confirm access to your account and you’ll be returned to Staffology.
  5. If you’re connected to a Practice Manager account you’ll be asked to confirm which client you want to connect to.
  6. Map your nominal codes to select which accounting category in FreeAgent should be used for each Pay Code in Staffology.
  7. Select the employer name in the main menu and choose ‘Settings’ > ‘Pay Codes’.
  8. Select ‘Nominal Codes’ at the top of the page.
  9. Select ‘Load Codes from FreeAgent’.
  10. Map each Pay Code in Staffology to the relevant nominal code in FreeAgent.
  11. Once you’ve finished mapping codes, select ‘Update Mappings’ at the bottom of the page to save your selection.
