How SumUp works with FreeAgent

You can either send register closures to FreeAgent manually or choose for it to be sent automatically whenever the register closes.

If you use petty cash on the POS and enable the option and map the account where the petty cash amount will go, SumUp will deduct the amount from the cash takings and put it in the petty cash account so that you can reconcile it in FreeAgent.

SumUp POS creates an invoice with the sales data for a period and applies the payments against it in FreeAgent. The invoice date will be set as the current day.

If you have an accounting category assigned to a product or category in FreeAgent, SumUp will try to send it to that specific category.

How do I get started with SumUp?

You can connect FreeAgent to SumUp by following these steps:

1. Open your POS PRO dashboard and navigate to ‘Apps’, then find the accounting integrations section.
2. Select FreeAgent as your integration option.
3. Authorise the connection by signing in to your FreeAgent account.
