You can also delegate tasks such as creating invoices, recording expenses and updating contacts. Choose the access each person needs, from reviewing records to making changes, and see who did what in the activity log.

How Connector Central works with FreeAgent

Once you’ve connected FreeAgent and your AI assistant to Connector Central, ask your assistant to work with the connected client’s records. For example, ask it to list overdue invoices and draft a payment reminder, or summarise the business’s profit and loss.

Connector Central checks the user’s access for each request, runs the permitted action in FreeAgent and returns the result to the assistant. Team members with ‘write access’ can also create or update supported records. Actions stay within the access level of the FreeAgent user who approved the connection, and each request appears in the activity log.

How do I get started with Connector Central?

You can connect FreeAgent to your AI assistant using Connector Central by following these steps:

1. Create a free account (opens in new window) and set up your business’s workspace.
2. Open ‘Connectors’ under ‘Gateway’, choose FreeAgent and start the connection flow.
3. Sign in to FreeAgent and approve access using a FreeAgent user with permissions appropriate for the work you want to delegate.
4. In the FreeAgent connector’s ‘Access’ tab, grant team members the required access levels and review which connected companies they can reach.
5. Follow the guide (opens in new window) to connect your AI assistant to Connector Central and select your workspace.
6. Start with a request such as ‘Show my overdue invoices’.
