Time-saving tips to automate your work life

We looked recently at some of the simple automation features that you can set up in FreeAgent to save you time and keep your business finances running smoothly. But what other things can you automate in your work life that will free up valuable time and make your business more efficient? Here’s a few great ideas to consider.

Automate your email

Even if you like to maintain the personal touch when it comes to emailing clients and business partners, you can still experiment with automating some of the other communications you send. Constant Contact, Mailchimpand Campaign Monitor are great tools for creating great-looking emails and setting them to send automatically - for example, on anniversary dates or after they fill in a form.

Zapier is an ideal tool for bringing together all of the cloud-based services that you may already use in your business (such as Evernote, Dropbox, Campfireand, of course, FreeAgent) and automating your workflow between them - without the need to write a single line of code. Automate the rest of your life

Like Zapier, If This Then That (IFTTT) is a super-handy service that automates all of those web apps and services you use every day. For example, you can receive a text anytime someone adds an event to your calendar, keep track of twitter hashtags in google docs, automatically create a shortlink of blog posts, even get a text if it’s going to rain tomorrow(or be sunny!).
